Slamming PM Modi and his government Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Tuesday gave notice in Lok Sabha on the Home Ministry’s move to remove the special protection from the Gandhi family.

Earlier, Adhir Ranjan had slammed the move and asked, “What is their fault? Why is the government targeting the Opposition?”

The Gandhis were placed under the Z-plus security cover after 28 years of SPG protection. They are now being manned by CRPF personnel.
