Mumbai: According to PTI reports Congres party will b skipping the all-party meeting convened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the ‘one nation, one election’ issue because it is opposed to the idea of ​​holding Lok Sabha and assembly elections together.

This decision was taken in the meeting of top party leaders in Parliament after discussions with various other parties.

Meanwhile many other party leaders decided to skip the meeting. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, his West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee and BSP chief Mayawati are in the opposition, who will leave the all-party meeting on the issue of Lok Sabha and Assembly elections together.

One source said that the Samajwadi Party is also opposing this idea and will leave the meeting.

Sources said Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, DMK supremo M K Stalin would not even be attending the meeting.

There is a possibility of NCP chief Sharad Pawar and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu leaving the meeting, while the Left is likely to get involved.
