Conspiracy To Deliberately Cancel OBC Reservation Says BJP Leader Ashish Shelar

Mumbai: On Thursday, BJP Leader MLA Adv. Ashish Shelar criticised the Maha Aghadi government for deliberately cancelling the OBC reservation. Looking at the developments over the last two-and-a-half years regarding the OBC’s political reservation, it is clear that it was a pre-planned conspiracy. The petitioner who went to the court is a Congress worker. Who is he close to? Which minister or the state president is he associated with needs to be ascertained, he questioned.

Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis had asked the government, almost two-and-a-half years ago, to set up a backward class commission and to conduct the triple test. But the government gave a deaf ear. The commission has been recently constituted. Also, the interim report submitted was rejected by the court. Hence it will not be incorrect to say that the government had hatched a planned conspiracy to deliberately ensure that the OBC reservation gets cancelled. We do not approve of holding elections without OBC reservation. But even if the elections are held, the BJP has taken a decision, within the party, to give sufficient, on the contrary more seats to the OBC community, said BJP leader MLA Adv. Ashish Shelar.

MP Sanjay Raut and Congress spokesperson seem to have been overpowered with the green alliance and hence I will clarify BJP’s stance, said MLA Adv. Ashish Shelar.

He said that there is a difference between a place of worship and a place of pilgrimage. Since the Thackeray government had no option but to ask for the removal of loudspeakers from mosques, they are now working hard to encroach on the rights of the Hindu temples. And we do not approve of it. Maharashtra is a land of Saints and not of Sultans. And hence loudspeakers are needed during the religious functions held at the various places of worship and places of pilgrimage. Do not encroach on the rights of the Hindu temples. Else there will be a public outcry. BJP will take an aggressive stance for the rights of the Hindu temples, warned BJP leader MLA Adv. Ashish Shelar.
