“Countdown Has Begun For BJP’s Fall’, Gehlot Slams PM Modi On NRC

Mumbai: Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister of Rajasthan slammed PM Narendra Modi on his statement over the most debated issue NRC. He said whether the PM is contradicting his own Home Minister or isn’t informed about the NRC.

Addressing a rally at Ram Leela Maidan in Delhi, PM said on Sunday that since 2014 there is no discussion on implementing NRC in the country. And Assam NRC was implemented only due to Supreme court orders.

This statement is in the entire contradiction of what Home minister Amit Shah said that he will implement NRC nationwide. After Modi’s statement, on Monday CM Ashok Gehlot lambasted that if he (PM) is making these comments willingly than this is unfortunate for the country.

“Either Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not know what is going on and talked about in this country. Probably he is unaware of Home Minister Amit Shah’s comment or he is willingly making such statements. If he is making such comments despite knowing everything, it is extremely unfortunate for the country,” Gehlot said.

The Congress leader further said, “The entire nation listened to Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement inside and outside Parliament that he will implement nationwide NRC.”

As in recent elections, BJP lost many states, Gehlot mentioned that “Countdown has begun for BJP’s fall, a ruling party cannot fool people in the name of patriotism.”

After losing in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, the exit polls predict that Jharkhand may even slip from the hands of BJP.
