Mumbai: There were 186 new coronavirus cases reported in Telangana, with a total infection count of over 2.94 lakh, while two more deaths brought the toll to 1,598.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the highest number of 34 cases, followed by 12 and 11 in Rangareddy and Karimnagar respectively, until 8 pm on Saturday, 29 January in the Government Bulletin.
The total number of cases was 2,94,306, while the recovery was at least 2,90,354. Around 2,354 patients are undergoing treatment on Friday and 33,088 samples were tested.

Cumulatively, more than 78.23 lakh samples have been tested. The Bulletin stated that the samples tested per million population were more than 2.10 lakh.
The case fatality rate in the state was 0.54 per cent, while at the national level it was 1.4 per cent.

The recovery rate in Telangana was 98.65 per cent, while it was 96.9 per cent in the country.
