COVID-19: Five New Positive Cases Reported In Noida
Mumbai: District Magistrate (DM) BN Singh said on Saturday that 5 new coronavirus virus positives have been found in the city. On Friday, three people were tested positive for the same.
ANI quoted Gautam Buddh Nagar District Magistrate BN Singh saying, “The three-including a mother and daughter are a resident of Sector 137 and third patient lives in Greater Noida Sector 3.”
The district magistrate later confiscated both properties.
Prior to that, Noida Authority CEO Ritu Maheshwari on Thursday morning allowed the distribution of essential items at the consumer’s doorstep.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday announced a 21-day lockout across the country, effective from midnight, to combat the spread of coronavirus, saying “social disturbances” are the only option to combat the disease, which spreads rapidly.
The total number of coronavirus cases in India has risen to 918. The number of patients who have been cured, discharged or migrated is 80.
Coronavirus cases have been reported in 27 states and UTs so far.
Meanwhile, the global death toll has crossed 28,000, while the total number of cases worldwide surpassed 6,10,000.
