Mumbai: India has surged over 1 Lakh Covid-19 cases on Tuesday with 4,970 cases and 134 deaths reported in 24 hours, as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The prominent figures are as follows, 1,01,139 cases as far including 58,802 active cases, 39,173 recoveries, and 3,163 deaths.

The largest hit State of Maharashtra reports 35,058 positive cases and 1,249 deaths. Tamil Nadu with 11,760 cases and 81 deaths and Gujarat with 11,745 cases and 694 deaths.

The surging figures during the month of May and June were predicted by the Health Ministry by April end.

The government has imposed considerable relaxations over the zones during the fourth phase of the nationwide lockdown.
