COVID-19: Maha Death Toll Rises To 7 As 40-Year-Old Passes Away

Mumbai: State Health Department officials said that the death of COVID-19 in Maharashtra climbed to 7 on Sunday after the death of a 40-year-old coronavirus patient in Mumbai.

The patient was treated in hospital on Saturday after severe respiratory complications and was suffering from high blood pressure.

“This is the seventh corona virus-related death in Maharashtra,” officials said. Earlier in the day, seven more COVID-19 cases were reported from Maharashtra, with a total of 193 cases in the state.

Out of the seven cases, four people tested positive in Mumbai, while each case was confirmed from Pune, Sangli and Nagpur.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, there are 979 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country so far, of which 86 have been cured or discharged, while 25 have been reported dead.
