COVID-19 Recovery Rate In Indore Over 64 Percent: CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Mumbai: The situation in Indore is under control as the recovery rate in the district is more than 64 per cent, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan said after he held a review meeting of COVID-19.

Chauhan told ANI, “The rate of recovery in Indore is over 64 per cent. Positive cases are coming up, but more people are recovering. Now the situation is under control here with the support of the public.”

The Chief Minister also met family members of the Corona warriors who lost their lives fighting the infection.

“I met the family members of my Corona warriors today. Prime Minister Modi had announced an insurance scheme of Rs 50 lakh, the Madhya Pradesh government thought that in case of such an incident, we would provide an amount of Rs 50 lakh we will provide a sum of Rs 50 lakh to the family, dependants from the family will be given jobs and there is provision for extraordinary pension as well. These families have lost their members in the service of the humanity in these troubled times,” Chouhan said.

Madhya Pradesh has reported 9,401 total COVID-19 positive cases so far while the total number of active cases stands at 2,658.
