Mumbai: India recorded the highest number of recoveries in a day at 28,472. The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that the number of COVID-19 patients also recovers or is discharged within 24 hours.
With this, the number of recovered patients is 7,53,049, according to a press release of the ministry.
The ministry said that this has led to a recovery rate of 63.13 percent for COVID-19 patients.
The ever-increasing number of recovered patients has widened the gap between active cases to 4,11,133 today. This difference is now 3,41,916. This difference is showing an increasing trend.
The ministry said the national recovery rate has improved, but the recovery rate in 19 states and union territories is higher than the national average.
According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of COVID-19 cases in India is 11,92,915, with 37,724 cases and 648 deaths in the last 24 hours.
The total number of cases includes 4,11,133 active cases, 7,53,050 cured/discharged/migrated, and 28,732 deaths, the Health Ministry informed.
