COVID19: With 123 deaths, Maharashtra Reports The Highest Number Of Deaths Within 24 hours

Mumbai: In the last 24 hours Maharashtra reported 124 deaths due to coronavirus outbreak, highest spike till now.

State Health Department of Maharashtra in a release said that 2933 new COVID19 cases were confirmed, taking the total number of cases to 77,793.

Maharashtra is the worst-hit state in India, accounting up to almost 40% of COVID19 cases in the country, in which the capital city Mumbai alone has 43,492 COVID19 cases.

Amidst the COVID19 situation, Maharashtra was hit by Nisarga cyclone on Wednesday making the situation more difficult for the administration.

Till date, 2710 people have succumbed to the deadly virus.
