Mumbai: Maharashtra’s Thane District has reported 9 deaths today taking the death toll to 114.
The measures are being taken strictly as Thane city continues to be on the edge with doubling cases since Thursday. The state has implemented complete shut down in the Wagle Prabhag Samiti Area due to the upsurge.
Nearly 470 cases have been reported this week. The toll has reached 1,178 in thane.
A total number of Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra has risen to 30,706 with 7,088 recoveries and 1,135 deaths as of 17th May.
Seeing the steady rise in the spread of the infection, the state has extended its lockdown till 31st May.
Innumerable measures are taken to control the spread. However, the state secures the highest position in being the most hit Covid-19 state of India.
