Cristiano Ronaldo Admits Of Paying Money To Rape Accuser To Shut Her Mouth

Mumbai: Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted of paying his rape accuser $375,000 in hushed money in order to keep the accuser’s mouth shut. But the player had stood firm on his point that the money was not an admission of guilt but rather an amount paid to keep the accuser from going in media.

The accuser Kathryn Mayorga had claimed that she took the money from Ronaldo in the year 2010. In 2009 Kathryn had accompanied CR7 to a party in his penthouse suite after which the soccer player had raped her. The accuser went on to file a police case. According to TMZ reports, the accuser had given a vague idea of the player to the police, she never mentioned Ronaldo’s name but instead said that a very famous soccer player had raped her.

In 2018 she identified her accuser as Cristiano Ronaldo and the police launched an investigation but the officials ultimately decided not to bring charges as there was no proper evidence. Mayorga went on to file a civil case against CR7 in 2010. Ronaldo now had filed a new court document to throw out the case as they have a binding settlement agreement. He also claims that the statute of limitations has long expired.

The court documents mentioned, “Mr. Ronaldo paid Plaintiff the sum of $375,000 and both parties agreed to be bound by explicit confidentiality and non-disparagement obligations,” the new court docs filed by Ronaldo state. He also has adamantly denied all the accusations saying the payment of money was to keep the case confidential and out of media. It was not an admission of guilt.
