Cyclone Fani: Red warning to 17 Odisha Districts, Rail To Run Two More Trains

Mumbai: The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for 17 districts of Odisha on 3rd and 4th May in the wake of Cyclone Phani. Districts are Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Balasore, Kandhamal, Raigad, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.

Approximately 25 teams of NDRF have been deployed in the Afni-affected areas. Ten teams from other states and 15 teams of Mundali and Cuttack reached different places.

NDRF Director General Satya Pradhan has requested people to stay calm.

Meanwhile, the South Eastern Railway will be running two more special trains from Puri at 3 pm and for Howrah at 6 pm. This will stop at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur, Kendujar Road, Bhadrak, Balasore and Kharagpur.
