Mumbai: Deepak Chahar on Tuesday night created a sensational record for most number of dot balls in IPL cricket.

Against Kolkata Knight Riders, Chahar burst out with 20 dot balls off his four overs, helping his team Chennai Super Kings to restrict KKR at the score of 108 runs for 9 wickets.

The right arm medium pacer was at his lethal best as he dismissed Lynn (0), Uthappa (6), Rana (0) and kept KKR at its very low throughout the match.

Even bowling to the power hitter – Russell was not easy that too at the last over, which the 26-year-old bowled with an attacking line and length resulting five dot balls in the 19th over which is very seldom.

Chennai Super Kings chased down the target comfortably from the very start after losing Watson and Raina, winning the match with 7 wickets and 16 balls to spare.

With the very ease, Chennai Super Kings have registered themselves at the very top of the points table after this win at Chepauk.
