Delhi Government’s Jai Bheem Yojana Applicable To All Categories

Mumbai: Before the assembly elections the Delhi CM put forward another big announcement. The Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday raised the amount related to the Jai Bheem Yojana from Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 1,00,000. He also announced that the scheme will be applicable to all categories of students even the economically week students of general category.

The scheme will be available for people of OBC and EWS students with income less than Rs. 8 lakhs per annum.  He said, “There is a condition for this scheme, the child will have to be from Delhi and he should have passed out from class 10 and class 12 from Delhi. Only then will he be eligible for this scheme. The family income should be less than Rs. 8,00,000”

The social welfare, SC/ST department of Delhi government recently decided to extend the benefits to other class like OBC and also the economically weaker sections of the society. The AAP is also planning to increase the coaching time with the intention of enhancing the quality of education.

Almost 5000 students of SC/ST are benefitted with the scheme and they are provided with free coaching classes at top coaching centers and as the extension of the scheme, their seats have also increased to 15000 for free education.

Also, free coaching for medical, engineering, civil services and other competitive exams will be provided.
