Delhi Govt Built Capacity To Feed 4 Lakh People: Arvind Kejriwal

Mumbai: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Saturday that the Delhi government has created the capacity to feed at least four lakh people from today and appealed to migrant workers to leave the city.

“We have built the capacity to feed at least four lakh people since today. We are also distributing food to over 500 schools and 238-night shelters. I have requested the legislators not to leave the migrant workers to Delhi Because we have made arrangements for everyone. ” “I will appeal that the lockout initiative undertaken by the Prime Minister is necessary to prevent this epidemic. COVID-19 cases will increase if people flee, ”Kejriwal said while addressing a digital press conference.

He said that the government has deployed flying squads in each district to distribute food packets to the needy.
“Our flying squads are patrolling each district and distributing food packets to the needy. Starting tomorrow, the delivery process will go smoothly and food will reach everywhere. I thank everyone who takes this initiative to feed the people. I am coming together, ”Kejriwal said.

He said that the government has started ration distribution for the next month amid nationwide lockouts.
He said, “Ration is available at 1,000 ration shops in Delhi. From today, 7.5 lakh rations will be distributed free to 71 lakh people. The MLAs will ensure social disturbances at ration shops.”

The central government has imposed a 21-day lockout in the country to prevent the spread of coronaviruses.
According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), 873 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the country and 19 fatalities have been reported.
