Delhi Govt Didn’t Pay Any Attention Towards Air Pollution: Gautam Gambhir

Mumbai: MP from Delhi East Gautam Gambhir and former Indian cricketer lambasted on ruling party AAP and CM Arvind Kejriwal for taking any steps to control pollution in the past four and a half years of its tenure.

Gambhir told ANI, “The people of Delhi are in trouble due to pollution, but the Delhi government only takes out detailed advertisements on pollution control. They have not paid any attention to pollution in four and a half years.”

He said, “Work will improve only when work is done on the ground and advertisements will not be brought.” ‘

Gambhir appealed to the public not to burn firecrackers this Diwali to bring positive changes.

“People have become aware now and they don’t burst firecrackers, as they did before.”

He further said that the awareness programs run by the central government have made a difference on the ground.

Air quality in the national capital fell into the ‘very poor’ category on 25 October when the Air Quality Index (AQI) was 326.
