Delhi Govt Files an FIR Against Private Hospital For Allegedly Violating COVID-19 Norms

Mumbai: Amid mounting controversy over COVID-19 hospitals in the national capital, the Delhi government led by Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday lodged an FIR against Sir Ganga Ram Hospital for violating COVID-19 or coronary regulation norms.

SGRH officials, a major private hospital and dedicated COVID-19 facility, did not respond immediately.

According to the FIR, a copy of this is available with PTI, the complainant is a senior officer of the Health Department of the Delhi government. The officer has alleged that there has been a “violation” on the part of the hospital is complying with the COVID-19 regulation norms specified under the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal claimed that one or two private hospitals in Delhi are refusing to be admitted to COVID-19 patients and are demanding lakhs of rupees for allotment of beds.

“Some private hospitals are refusing to give admission to COVID patients, demanding money for the allocation of beds. They were expanded, ”the CM said, adding that the government would deploy medical professionals in each of the private hospitals to monitor the beds available for COVID patients.
