Delhi Govt Will Solve Problems Of Farmers: CM Rekha Gupta

Mumbai: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta assured farmers that all their concerns would be addressed, highlighting that the Central and Delhi governments, as a “double-engine government,” are committed to resolving agricultural issues.
Speaking after a budget consultation with farmers from across the capital, CM Gupta acknowledged that rural areas in Delhi had seen little development over the past 15-20 years. “We called the farmers from every corner of Delhi to consult about the budget. They have shared their suggestions with us,” she said. “They now have high expectations from the new Delhi government, and I assure them that all the issues raised will be resolved.”
Delhi Budget 2025 Consultations Underway
CM Gupta’s outreach is part of a broader consultation process for the upcoming Delhi Budget 2025. On March 6, she held an interactive session with traders, businessmen, and business organizations to gather their inputs. Representatives from across the national capital participated, voicing key concerns of the business community.
Additionally, the Chief Minister has been engaging with residents from various sections of society. “The Delhi government is reaching out to the public for budget suggestions. I recently met people living in slums in the RK Puram Assembly constituency and took their inputs,” she stated.
Budget Session Scheduled for March 24-28
The Delhi Assembly’s Budget Session is set to take place from March 24 to March 28, with the Budget being presented on March 25.
According to a statement from the Legislative Assembly Secretariat, the session will commence at 11:00 A.M. on March 24 at the Assembly Hall, Old Secretariat, Delhi. “Sittings of the Legislative Assembly have been tentatively fixed for March 24, 25, 26, 27, and 28. Subject to the exigencies of business, the sitting of the House may be extended,” the statement read.
As the new government gears up to present its first budget, all eyes are on how it plans to address key issues, particularly those affecting farmers and traders in the national capital.
