Delhi Won’t Extend Lockdown: State Health Minister Satyendar Jain

Mumbai: Lockdown will not be extended in Delhi said state government. 

“No, the lockdown will not be extended,” Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain told news agency ANI.

The clarification came in response to a heavy discussion on social media and the parts of the media which will remain closed in Delhi from June 15 to July 31. 

“Tomorrow evening Delhi” was among the top trends on Twitter.

There are more than 34,000 viruses and 1,085 deaths in Delhi. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that his government had estimated that by July 31, there would be 5.5 lakh coronavirus cases in the capital.
