Don’t Underestimate The Risks Of Nuclear War, The Danger Is Real: Russia To The World

Mumbai: Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has told the world not to underestimate the risks of nuclear war. “The risks now are considerable,” Lavrov said.

In an interview by Russian state television, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov was asked about the importance of surviving World War III and whether the current situation was on par with the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis.

“The risks are now substantial,” Lavrov said according to a transcript of the interview on the ministry’s website.

“I don’t want to artificially amplify those risks. Many people would like that. The danger is serious, real. And we shouldn’t underestimate it.”

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmitro Kuleba said he saw Russia’s intimidation as a sign of weakness.

Kuleba wrote on Twitter after interviewing Lavrov, saying Russia had lost “the last hope of scaring the world by supporting Ukraine”. “It only means a sense of defeat for Moscow.”

Russia’s two-month-old invasion of Ukraine, the largest on a European state since 1945, killed or injured thousands, ruined towns and cities, and more than five million fled abroad. But forced.

Moscow called its actions a “special operation” to disarm Ukraine and protect it from fascists. Ukraine and the West call it a false pretext for war because of the aggression of President Vladimir Putin.

Russia’s foreign ministry said on Monday it had declared 40 German diplomatic staff “personalities non-great” in retaliation for the same number of Russian diplomats after Berlin.

Russia has not captured any major cities yet. Strong resistance forced its forces to retreat from the outskirts of Kyiv.
