Dravid To Coach Team India On Tour Of Sri Lanka, Confirms Ganguly
Mumbai: BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has confirmed that Rahul Dravid will coach Team India for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka. The development comes as head coach Ravi Shastri will be with the India Test squad in England.
“Rahul Dravid will be the coach for the India tour to Sri Lanka,” Ganguly told The Indian Express.
The Indian team for the Sri Lanka tour is already in Mumbai for their 14-day institutional quarantine.
Earlier, the All India Senior Selection Committee met on Thursday and selected the team for India’s tour of Sri Lanka in July. Shikhar Dhawan was made the captain of the team and Bhuvneshwar Kumar was made the deputy for the upcoming tour.
Ruturaj Gaikwad got his maiden call up for the national team owing to his brilliant show with the bat for Chennai Super Kings at the top of the order.
