ED Raids Punjab CM’s Nephew In Illegal Sand Mining Case Ahead Of Assembly Polls

Mumbai: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday conducted raids at over 10 locations in Punjab, including the residence of Chief Minister Charanjit S Channi’s nephew Bhupinder Singh Honey, in an illegal sand mining case, ahead of Assembly polls in the state.

The investigating agency also raided the residence of Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi’s nephew Bhupinder Singh Honey in Mohali this morning.

Officials of the federal agency conducted raids at 10-12 places in the state and also took action under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

The raids have been conducted ahead of the assembly elections to be held in the state on February 20. The results will be declared on March 10.
