Mumbai: Rebel Shiv Sena MLA Eknath Shinde will be the next Chief Minister of Maharashtra, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis announced.
This comes after the duo met Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari to stake a claim to form government in the state.
Fadnavis also announced that he will stay out of the government
Fadnavis said the BJP would extend its support to the Shinde camp, which has 39 MLAs as well as 16 independents and others.
“The Shinde-led government will effectively resolve the issues that have been stalled for the last two and a half years.”

He insisted the Shiv Sena will remain the same and nobody can take it away from them. Thackeray said he was not going away forever and will be around to gather all his people.
