Mumbai: As the NDA-led central government has completed one year of its second term, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in an audio message that empowering the poor, farmers, women, and youth is his government’s priority.
The Prime Minister said that “empowering the poor, farmers, women and youth is our priority”.
He has also written a letter to the people of the country listing the many initiatives, achievements, and major decisions made by his government expressing confidence about victory in the country’s fight against COVID-19.
He said that there were many other decisions that accelerated the development trajectory of the nation, set new goals, and met the expectations of the people.
“While the Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) has improved coordination among the armed forces, India has accelerated the preparation of Mission Gaganyaan,” he said.
Modi said that all the farmers are now included in the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi.
“In a year, more than Rs 72,000 crore has been deposited in the accounts of about 10 crore farmers under this scheme,” he said. He said that Jal Jeevan Mission will ensure the supply of drinking water to more than 15 crore rural families through pipe connections.
Prime Minister Modi said, “For the first time in the history of our country, the unorganized sector farmers, farm laborers, small shopkeepers, and workers have been assured to pay the regular monthly pension of 3000 rupees after the age of 60 years”.
He said that it has been decided to set up a Business Welfare Board for a time-bound solution to the problems of traders.
