Voting for 70 assembly constituencies of Delhi began at 8 am on Saturday. It is a three-way competition between the AAP, BJP, and Congress in the national capital. Political analysts predict pro-incumbency to play in favor of the AAP.

In the 2015 state elections, the AAP won 67 out of 70 assembly seats.

In 2020, while the AAP launched its campaign on free campaigns like education, healthcare, electricity, water, and transport for women, the BJP kept Shaheen Bagh and nationalism in its constituency. Losing a Chief Ministerial candidate to pit against Kejriwal, the BJP has bet on the political capital of PM Narendra Modi to woo the voters of Delhi.

Congress, however, highlighted the work done during the tenure of former Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit

The total eligible voters (1,47,86,382) consist of 81,05,236 males and 66,80,277 females, along with 869 third gender voters.
