Even If Millions Of Cases Are Not Considered To Be Community Spread Then When Will It Be Considered: Satyendar Jain

Mumbai: Reacting to Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan’s comment that some states are seeing an increase in community outbreaks of coronavirus, Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain said on Monday that if millions of cases are not considered community dissemination, then when will it be considered.

“I said it for months. Don’t know what compulsion it does not accept. Even if millions of cases are not considered community spread, when will it be considered?” Asked Jain.

Delhi’s Health Minister further said that Delhi’s hospitals have 5,034 beds and about 70 percent are still available.

He said, “This situation is a little better than it was a month ago. Nevertheless, I request everyone to wear masks and maintain social distance, so that COVID-19 does not spread again during the festival season.”

A total of 3,299 new COVID-19 cases and 28 deaths occurred in Delhi on Sunday, with the total number of novel coronavirus cases in the national capital being 331,017.

Meanwhile, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, with 55,722 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours and 579 deaths in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 count crossed 75 lakh and on Monday Peaked at 75,50,273.
