Firing Near AP Dhillon’s Canada Home, Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Claims Responsibility: Reports
Mumbai: In a shocking incident, shots were reportedly fired outside the residence of popular Punjabi singer AP Dhillon on Victoria Island in Vancouver, Canada. The incident occurred last night, with a man named Rohit Godara, who is allegedly associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, taking responsibility for the attack.
A video, which has been circulating online but remains unverified, shows a man standing outside a house and firing multiple shots at night. The exact location of the video is yet to be confirmed. AP Dhillon, known for his global hits like “Brown Munde” and “Excuses,” resides on Victoria Island in British Columbia.
The purported post, allegedly from Rohit Godara, claims that the firing took place at two locations in Canada—Victoria Island and Woodbridge, Toronto. According to the post, the attack on AP Dhillon’s residence was in response to the singer featuring Bollywood actor Salman Khan in one of his music videos. Godara, who claims to be affiliated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, also issued death threats to Dhillon in the same post.
Canadian security agencies are currently investigating the claims made in the post and analyzing the video footage. As of now, AP Dhillon has not publicly responded to the incident, and local police have yet to issue a statement.
This incident is reminiscent of a similar case last year when Lawrence Bishnoi, the jailed gangster, allegedly took responsibility for a shooting at the home of another Punjabi singer, Gippy Grewal, in Vancouver’s White Rock neighbourhood.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has been linked to several high-profile threats and attacks. In April, two individuals on motorcycles opened fire outside Salman Khan’s residence, Galaxy Apartments, in Mumbai’s Bandra area. Following the incident, Mumbai police declared Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother, Anmol Bishnoi, as “wanted accused.”
Lawrence Bishnoi has reportedly been targeting Salman Khan due to the actor’s involvement in the 1998 blackbuck hunting case, which deeply offended the Bishnoi community.
The recent attack on AP Dhillon’s residence has sent shockwaves through the music and entertainment industry, raising concerns over the safety of artists who have become targets of criminal gangs.
