Former Indian Captain MS Dhoni Missing Home Series Due To Back Injury: Reports

Mumbai: Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni has been missing from home series since its defeat in semi-finals in World Cup 2019 against New Zealand.

Earlier he made himself unavailable for West Indies tour, later on, he also missed South Africa home series and now he not even available for Bangladesh home series. Well, the recent reports state that the reason behind his absence is back injury he picked up during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

Dhoni fell behind in the World Cup, which worsened during the tournament itself. According to The Indian Express, Dhoni is expected to recover fully by November.

The management recently put up a sign where they set aside all talks of Dhoni’s retirement as Virat Kohli talked about the “alignment” between his predecessor and the team before the 1 T20I against South Africa.

He said, “One of the great things about him is that he thinks for Indian cricket. And whatever we (team management) think, it is on the same page. The alignment is there, ”Kohli said while speaking about Dhoni. Kohli praised Dhoni and highlighted his importance. “He has such a mindset about grooming young players and giving them opportunities,” he said.

After the World Cup, Dhoni took a break and joined the paramilitary forces in Kashmir.
