Congress has long criticized the BJP government for implementing a tax system for a long time, which causes more harm to people for the purpose of serving. Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has also been a vocal critic of GST, who often gives a serious blow to GST and monetization for small and unorganized sector businesses.

On Friday, at the Hindu Business Awards held in the National Capital, Manmohan Singh talked of serious faith between the government and the businesses and an epicentre of narrative has been constructed which would harm the economy.

“Late, many negative perceptions have been made about business leaders; The business community, big and small, is designed to realize the anger of the overwhelming agencies, “he said.

“A hostile story has been created; This will not only boost the confidence of our own business leaders but also create suspicion in the minds of foreign governments and business leaders. “The honest businessman and real entrepreneur should never be allowed to feel troubled by the minor revenue officials. Unfortunately, the trust between the government and the business is sustained, “he said without extension.

He also said it is vital to prepare all stakeholders for the coming change because changes produce some disruption, some pain and considerable discomfort.
