Former TMC MP Dinesh Trivedi Joins BJP Ahead Of West Bengal Polls

Mumbai: Former Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi, who had resigned as TMC MP in Rajya Sabha on February 12, joined BJP at the party headquarters in New Delhi today. He joined the party in the presence of BJP National President JP Nadda and Railway Minister Piyush Goyal.

The former Trinamool MP resigned from the Rajya Sabha on 12 February and gave an unexpected and emotional speech in the House, where he praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, thanked Trinamool Congress for sending him to the Upper House, but said it was time to respond to his inner voice asking him to something for West Bengal.

Welcoming the former railway minister to the party, Nadda said, “Dinesh Trivedi was the right person in the wrong party, now he is in the right party.

On the other hand, Trivedi said that this was the golden moment they were waiting for.

Dinesh Trivedi joining the BJP was only a matter of time after his resignation from the Rajya Sabha and the party with which he has been associated since the beginning of the party.
