Former US President Herbert Walker Bush Dies At 94

Mumbai : Former United Nation President and American politician George Herbert Walker Bush who served as the 41st President Of United Nation from 1989 to 1993, died on Friday at the age of 94.

Bush was the 41st president of the United States, he had the most impressive resumes in American political history, as per reports he took his last breath in his home Houston.

According to spokesperson Jim McGrath statement his death his death was announced at 10.10 pm (0410 GMT), which also added that funeral arrangements had yet to be scheduled.

Prior to be President he served as a 43rd Vice President of the United Nation from 1981 to to 1989.

“The entire Bush family is deeply grateful for 41’s life and love, for the compassion of those who have cared and prayed for Dad, and for the condolences of our friends and fellow citizens,” George W. Bush said in a statement.

Soon after founding his own oil company, Bush became involved in politics. He was defeated in his first election, for the U.S. Senate in 1964 but won election to the House of Representatives from Texas’ 7th district in 1966. He was re-elected in 1968 and was defeated for election to the Senate again in 1970.

Bush’s death came seven months after that of his wife, former first lady Barbara Bush, to whom he was married for 73 years. It has seen that Bush attending his wife funeral in Houstone with books, in honor of his late wife’s commitment to literacy.

After his wife’s funeral he was admitted to the Houston hospital with a blood infection that led to sepsis.

“America has lost a patriot and humble servant in George Herbert Walker Bush. While our hearts are heavy today, they are also filled with gratitude,” former president Barack Obama said in a statement.

In 2011, Obama awarded Bush the highest US civilian honor, the Medal of Freedom.
