France Ruled Out Any Third Party Involvement On Kashmir

Mumbai: Ahead of the G7 summit the French President Emmanuel Macron and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a one on one meeting and discussed the Indian and French relationship and the Kashmir dispute, amongst which growing terrorism and Kashmir Dispute remained the main agenda of the meeting.

“Prime Minister told me everything about Kashmir and everything in J&K during our talks. I said Pakistan and India will have to find a solution together and no third party should interfere or incite violence in any region,” said the French President. The bilateral meeting was held at the historic Chateau de Chantilly.

“Mr Modi told me about the recent decision taken by India and that it is in their Sovereignty,” the President by saying this lend huge moral support on India. After scrapping of article 370 both the rivals, Pakistan and China jumped on to oppose the act by threatening terror attacks.

Pakistan even wrote a letter to UN asking to intermediate where China supported Pakistan but every other country was in favour of India and had said the issue was bilateral and could only be solved through dialogue between both the countries.

Prime Minister Modi said that India and France’s friendship is based on three principles: liberty, equality and fraternity. “The relationship between India and France is hundreds of years old. Our friendship is based on principles of liberty, equality and fraternity and not selfishness… To fight cross border terror, France has always rendered invaluable support to India and for this, I would like to thank President Macron for the valuable support that France has received in combating cross border terrorism. We intend to broaden cooperation on security and counter-terrorism”

The Prime Minister also added that there will be enhanced ties between France and India in sectors like Climate change, Environment and Technology.
