Gangster Involved In Sidhu Moosewala’s Murder Shot Dead By Police In Encounter

Mumbai: A gangster involved in the killing of singer Sidhu Moosewala has been killed by Punjab Police in an encounter at a village in Punjab’s Amritsar district, reports stated Three policemen are said to be injured in the encounter.

The gangsters involved in the exchange are said to be Manpreet ‘Manu’ Kusa and Jagroop Roopa, who was identified by the Punjab Police through CCTV footage of Moose Wala’s murder.

Roopa was killed in the encounter, while at least three policemen were injured in the exchange of fire and have been taken to the hospital, The Quint reported.

Both Roopa and Kusa were associated with the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang. Jaggu works in the Majha area of ​​Punjab and is part of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s syndicate. According to the police, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was the “mastermind” of Moose Wala’s murder.

The area has been cordoned off and all residents of the area have been asked to stay indoors.

Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, also known as Sidhu Moosewala, was shot dead on May 29 in Punjab’s Mansa district.

The encounter took place just days after Punjab’s newly-appointed Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav met Moose Wala’s family in Mansa district on July 14 and assured a fair and speedy probe into their murder to bring the culprits to justice.

The singer was allegedly murdered in retaliation to youth Akali leader Vicky Middukhera’s killing last year.
