Gates of Badrinath Temple Opens, No Devotees Allowed Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

Mumbai: The Gates of Badrinath Temple opened today in the morning at 4:30 am permitting only 28 people inside including the chief priest, according to the ANI.

The temple offered a prayer on behalf of the devotees who are unable to visit the temple, says the Dharm Adhikari at the Badrinath Temple.

The temple was adorned with beautiful flowers upon reopening amid the opening ceremony.

Earlier on 29th April, the gates of Kedarnath were open after a six months winter break. Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Trivendra Singh Rawat then announced the reopening of the Badrinath shrine today.

Covid-19 figures in Uttarakhand surged to 78 including 50 recoveries and one death.
