Girlfriend Swapping Racket Running Under Guise Of Parties Busted In B’luru, 2 Arrested

Bengaluru: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) of Bengaluru has uncovered a shocking “girlfriend swapping” racket and arrested two individuals, Harish and Hemant, for orchestrating the operation under the guise of private parties. The illicit scheme, commonly referred to as “swingers,” involved persuading couples to exchange partners for sexual activities. Women were reportedly coerced into participation and blackmailed into compliance.
The racket came to light when a woman lodged a complaint, alleging that her partner, one of the accused, exploited her trust and forced her to engage in intimate acts with others. She claimed that when she resisted, he threatened to release her private photographs.
According to investigators, the accused organized these gatherings via WhatsApp groups, promoting them as social events held on the outskirts of Bengaluru. Explicit photos and videos of women were reportedly seized during the investigation, which were allegedly used as tools for blackmail.
Police revealed that both suspects are habitual offenders with a history of exploiting women through similar schemes. “The accused manipulated victims’ trust and resorted to threats and blackmail when they resisted,” said a senior police official.
The arrests have raised concerns about the safety of women and the misuse of technology for exploitative activities. The police are continuing their investigation to identify other potential victims and collaborators involved in the racket.
