Global COVID-19 Tally Surged To 6.2 Million, Death Toll over 3,79,000

Mumbai: With more than 93,000 positive cases reported in the last 24 hours, Covid-19 figures have surged over 6,2 million, the death toll stands at 3,79,941 according to the WHO report.

The United States constitute for one-third of the global cases with 2,949,455 positive cases and 1,65,311 deaths.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) resumed the trial of Hydroxychloroquine that was halted recently over safety concerns.

“Based on available data, the #COVID19 Solidarity Trial Data Safety & Monitoring Committee recommended there are no reasons to modify the trial protocol. The Executive Group endorsed the continuation of all arms of the Trial, including the use of hydroxychloroquine”, tweets Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO.
