Global Peace Key Essential For Brighter Future: PM Narendra Modi

Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasized the pivotal role of global peace in shaping a brighter future for humanity. In a signed message addressed to Adish C. Aggarwala, Senior Advocate and President of the International Council of Jurists and the International Commission of Writers, PM Modi underscored that global unity and collaboration are essential for collective efforts toward lasting peace.

The message comes ahead of the International Conference of Jurists and Writers for World Peace, scheduled to be held in London on October 9-10. PM Modi acknowledged the diverse range of participants—Chief Justices, Ministers, Judges, Members of Parliament, Bar leaders, writers, editors, and law educators—whose expertise is crucial in shaping policies aimed at global peace and prosperity.

Reflecting on India’s long-standing commitment to peace, the Prime Minister drew inspiration from iconic figures such as Bhagwan Buddha and Mahatma Gandhi, who championed human dignity, welfare, and non-violence. PM Modi noted that these timeless values remain deeply relevant in today’s turbulent world, which faces emerging conflicts that threaten the socio-economic stability of nations.

PM Modi argued that the rising global challenges can only be overcome through concerted global action and grassroots engagement. India, he reiterated, is fully dedicated to promoting global peace, unity, and brotherhood, guided by the philosophy of “One Earth, One Family, One Future.” This human-centric approach, he explained, seeks to cultivate a peaceful world for future generations.

The Prime Minister expressed optimism that the conference will result in a visionary blueprint for global harmony, stressing the importance of collective efforts to advance peace and stability. He also praised Adish C. Aggarwala, the conference organizer and immediate past President of the Supreme Court Bar Association, for his commitment to the cause of world peace.

PM Modi concluded by extending his best wishes to the participants, expressing confidence that their deliberations will contribute meaningfully to the global peace agenda.
