Goa govt Announces 12 Measures To Help Industries, Public In The Economic Crisis

Mumbai: As the world is going through an economic crisis due to COVID19, Goa government has announced 12 measures such as construction licenses, the exemption in electricity bill to help industries, the general public in this economic crisis.

Licenses and permission granted for construction, technical development which were expiring between 1/3/2020 and 30/6/2020 are extended up to 31/10/2020 without any additional fees.

The validity of Fitness, Permit (all types) learners license, registration and any other concerned document which are expiring till 30/9/2020 will be valid till 30/9/2020.

Among others, the most important measure for the general public is the exemption of dues in electricity. Late surcharge would be waived off by the government if the payment is made before 15/7/2020.

Government has also renewed the last date of Excise licenses from 31/3/2020 to 30/6/202 without any penalty.

To help industries to cope up with a shortage of workers, Government has granted an exemption to all the factories thereby allowing 12 hours working, initially for the period up to 31/07/2020.
