God Decides Your Destiny, I Will Be Back On Pitch Hopefully In February: Yuvraj

The All-rounder had announced his international retirement in 2019 and since then played in franchise cricket around the globe.

Mumbai: Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, who won the Man of the Tournament title in the 2011 World Cup has decided to come out of his retirement and will return to the field in February next year.

Yuvraj took to Instagram to share the news and wrote, “God decides your destiny !! On public demand, il be back on the pitch hopefully in February! Ain’t nothing like this feeling! Thank you for your love and wishes to mean a lot to me! Keep supporting India, it’s our team and a true fan will show his or her support in tough times”.

Yuvraj Singh made his international debut in ODI cricket on 3 October 2000 against Kenya in Nairobi.

The 39-year-old was a crucial player to lead India towards victory in the 2007 T20 and 2011 ODI World Cup.

Yuvraj Singh is the only player in the world to hold the record for the fastest half-century in T20 international cricket. He had scored 50 off just 12 balls against England in the 2007 T20 World Cup.

In the same match was given the title of ‘Sixer King’ after he set the record for most sixes in a row off six balls by England fast bowler Stuart Broad.

Yuvraj played the best cricket of his life in the 2011 World Cup but he was diagnosed with cancer a few days after the conclusion of the 2011 World Cup.

The All-rounder had announced his international retirement in 2019. After retiring from international cricket, the southpaw played in franchise cricket around the globe.

He has represented Toronto Nationals in the GT20 League and has also played for the Maratha Arabians in Abu Dhabi T10. Yuvraj was last seen on the field in March 2021 during the Road Safety Series.
