Gujarat: Flood-Like Situation After Heavy Rains Hits Vadodara
Mumbai: Flood-Like situation in Vadodara after the water level in Vishwamitri River swelled due to incessant rain in Gujarat.
Heavy rains continue in Rajkot as the water level in many rivers has risen, causing flood-like conditions in many districts of the state.
On 1 August, teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) were also deployed to relocate people from low-lying areas to safer places.
Meanwhile, it has also been reported that rescue operation to evacuate people to a safer place is underway. So far around 6,000 people have been shifted.
Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy too heavy rain to hit Gujarat in next 24 hours.
