Haryana CM Announces Rs 1 CR Aid For DSP Killed By Mining Mafia, Vows Strict Action

Mumbai: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced financial assistance of ₹1 crore for the family of DSP Surender Singh, who was allegedly killed by the mining mafia in Nuh on Tuesday.

DSP Surendar Singh Bishnoi’s younger brother Ashok Manju noted that he was set to retire this year and has two children.

“Our condolences go out to the bereaved family. A total of Rs 1 crore would be provided in compensation to the kin of the martyred police officer. We would also provide a job to one of his family members,” Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar said.

It is noteworthy that in Nuh, Haryana, DSP Surendra Singh Bishnoi was crushed to death by the mining mafia with a dumper. The incident is from Pachgaon village in the Tauru police station area. Bishnoi along with his team had gone to inspect the area for illegal mining. This particular area is known for illegal mining.

ADG Ravi Kiran, IGP South Range said that DSP Surendra Singh Bishnoi had come to the area for a surprise inspection based on a tip-off and did not take the backup force with him.

Ravi Kiran said, “He had come for a surprise inspection based on a tip-off. Didn’t come with backup force as he may not have found time for it. He was run over by the accused. No weapons used,” Ravi Kiran said.
