Having More Followers On Social Media Doesn’t Make You Successful: Irfan Pathan Urges Fans To ‘Stay Real

Mumbai: Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan on Thursday urged his fans to remain genuine as he insisted that having more followers on social media does not make you successful.

Pathan took to Twitter and wrote, “Having more followers on social media doesn’t make you successful, apparently you can buy them too… #stayreal.”

The 35-year-old former fast bowler took 301 wickets in all formats for India in 29 Tests, 120 ODIs and 24 T20Is. He also managed to score 2,821 runs which included 11 fifties and a century.

Irfan Pathan announced his retirement from all forms of cricket, on 4 January 2020. The left-arm pacer played his last IPL game in 2017 and went unpicked in the three auctions that followed.
