He Raped Me Later His Son And Nephew Also Raped Me: 25-Yr-Old Woman On UP MLA

Cr ofMumbai: On Sunday, a woman filed a gang rape case against Gyanpur-Bhadohi MLA Vijay Mishra, his son, and another relative in Gopiganj police station of Bhadohi district of central Madhya Pradesh. 

According to a Hindustan Times report, the woman alleged that Mishra sexually assaulted her several times at gunpoint in 2014, stating that his son Vishnu Mishra and his relative Vikas Mishra also raped her.

Inspector Krishnanand Rai of Gopiganj police station said that a case was registered against Vijay Mishra, his son Vishnu Mishra and relative Vikas Mishra under sections 376D (gang rape), 342 (wrongful confinement), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code. 

The alleged victim was sent for medical examination.

A senior police official said the woman, who hails from Varanasi, alleged that she was called to campaign in Bhadohi during the 2014 general election. She alleged that when she tried to resist rape, the accused threatened to kill her.

The officer said that the woman moved to Mumbai due to the fear of the MLA, but came back to the state to know that she was in jail in another case.

Vijay Mishra was arrested in August in an alleged property grab case and is currently in Agra Jail.
