Heavy Rainfall To Hit Mumbai, Thane And Konkan Areas

Mumbai: The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rainfall in Mumbai, Thane, and Konkan region on Wednesday. Usually today, the sky will be cloudy with the possibility of very heavy rain in Mumbai and suburban areas, IMD Mumbai has said.

The maximum and minimum temperatures in the capital of Maharashtra are likely to hover around 29 and 24 degrees Celsius respectively.

Dy Director General of Meteorology, India Met Department, Mumbai, said that IMD has forecast for heavy to very heavy rainfall in the financial capital of the country, Konkan region, and Thane.

The India Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar.

“On Wednesday, in Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Palghar, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected. In some districts of central Maharashtra and Marathwada, heavy rainfall is expected,” an IMD official said.
