Mumbai: Home Minister Amit Shah expressed confidence to West Bengal and Odisha Chief ministers regarding Cyclone Amphan.
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs sources, he has spoken to West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee to assure the back up by the center to help the state.
Any assistance required will be fulfilled by the Centre. It has also deployed NDRF teams in West Bengal to monitor the situation.
In a conversation with Odisha Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik HM has reviewed the preparedness and promised him to provide further necessary aids.
Cyclone Amphan has moved north- northeastwards across the Bay of Bengal and is moving with the speed of 14km/hour.
The WB government has evacuated the people from the coastal region. It is likely to make landfall in West Bengal on Wednesday.
