Hong Kong Families Out On The Streets Supporting Pro-Democracy Protest

Mumbai: On Saturday, several people dressed in black gathered near Hong Kong airport to protest against the current government and to support pro-democracy. Some of the protestors have stayed at the airport overnight to guard the protest supplies.

The protestors have gathered along with their families and kids, earlier in the day the old people had started a silver hair rally and distributed letters to the police headquarters and the Chief Executives of Carrie Lam, the letter asked for their support for the protest. One of the protestors who had come along with her niece also said that she hoped the rally would help children understand what kind of crisis has hit their region.

“We have to tell children about the current situation in Hong Kong and educate them about what the right kind of society is… the future belongs to children. Hong Kong’s future is theirs. We are fighting for the rights children should have,” the protestor added.

The protestors sat in an organized manner without troubling the arrivals or travellers, the protestors were spotted making posters and greeting travellers and randomly yelling the slogans that said, “Fight for Freedom, stay with Hong Kong”

The protests first erupted as opposition rally against Carrie Lams’s Extradition Bill which still lies suspended in the court. The HK people after a few protests added to their demand the resignation of Carrie Lam and Democracy in Hong Kong.
