Pune : Soon after Metoo movement hit the stakes, Nana patekar stepped down from the next installment of Housefull after suffering allegations from Tanushree Dutta of harassment attempt in 2008 on movie sets. Eventually, even Wajid Khan made an exit from the director’s seat of the movie, the flick was going towards disaster as the reason of exit was again Metoo.
However, work has started to gather up again as there’s a fresh update in the progress of the project. Reports conveyed that Rana Daggubati will be replacing Nana in the movie, agreeing to which, he shared “It is always good to find work outside of Hyderabad, get to learn so much and do so many new things. I’ve never been part of a genre like Housefull and it’s always exciting to work with different genres. Working with Akshay Kumar again (after Neeraj Pandey’s 2015 action-spy thriller Baby), Sajid (Nadiadwala) and Farhad (Samji) is something I am really looking forward to.”
Currently, shoot is setup in Mumbai where the Bahubali actor will be joining partner actors Kriti Sanon, Ritesh Deshmukh, Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol and Kriti Kharbanda.
Movie will be directed by Farhad Samji which will be hitting the theatres next year. Boom is already created as the star from the blockbuster movie Bahubali will be replacing the legendary actor Nana and we can’t wait for the glimpses already.
