Hritik Roshan Reacts To War Being Defeated By Akshay Kumar And Shahid Kapoor Films

Mumbai: Hrithik Roshan, who’s had hits like Super 30 and War to his credit this year, said he’s glad that Akshay Kumar, Shahid Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal have fared better than him at the box-office. The superstar responded to a box-office report with much grace. He shared a report stating how Akshay Kumar has beaten Hrithik Roshan at the box office, and wrote, “How good would I be if I didn’t have friends who were better than me.”

All of Akshay Kumar’s releases this year namely, Kesari, Mission Mangal and Housefull 4 have fared well at the box-office. Good Newwz will release this month. Reportedly, Akshay’s films earned a total of Rs 542 crore. Hrithik’s two releases including War and Vikas Bahl’s Super 30 earned Rs 463 crore.

Meanwhile, Shahid’s film, although embroiled in a lot of controversies, took the top spot, earning an impressive Rs 87.21 crore, with Vicky’s ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ trailing behind with a collection of Rs 84.11 crore.

However, as far as the overall total is concerned, Hrithik Roshan registered one of the highest domestic box office collections of the year, with ‘War’ surpassing the 300-crore mark. It also beat Salman Khan’s ‘Bharat’ and Shahid’s ‘Kabir Singh’ to register the highest earners at single screens across India in 2019.

The superstar took to social media to put across his reaction to the reports comparing his box-office performances with his colleagues. Recently, he has voted the Sexiest Asian Male of 2019 in an online poll released in London on Wednesday.
